Ok I am going to go ahead and make a comment. First of all let me say if you are a true Tarkan fan, I dont belive you should think other wise of him just because of his sexual preference. Does his views and ideas change his music? NO!!!!!

I also found this article to be a bit stereotypical towards Americans, and also a little mistaken about the Turk society. First of all I believe that American culture is alot more open minded about things than most, I dont think that they would deny Tarkan as an artist because of his behavior, I mean cmon look at Elton John, Micheal Jackson and George Micheals, and Prince they all have the same characteristics that Tarkan may have but are MAJOR SUPERSTARS!!!

Second of all is this person not see what the tabloids in Turkey are constantly accusing Tarkan of? They do take Tarkans sexualitly as a big deal!!!!

Bottom line, so what if Tarkan can attract both men and women, he is just that hot!!! And so what if he also prefers both, leave him alone once again and respect him as an artist!! BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOo ya!

I agree!!!! Michael Jackson made me laugh even more! Tarkan's dances are hot and energetic lol NOT FUNNY! it's just that no turkish star ever rocked American stage yet. And I'm sure that when he will everyone will be paralized watching him. I found this article stereotpical as well....such a nonsense

I just wouldn't say that this person who wrote this knows both Tarkan's career and Turkish culture...At least it looks like that to me,dunno...
From my musical taste: if Americans accepted Marilyn Manson and Ozzy Osbourne,I don't see why Tarkan would be a problem...If we are talking about visual appearance...
And about being gay or not...That's still his personal stuff...And he wouldn't be the first gay artist in America or anywhere else...

yes, also Tarkan said it many times he is NOT gay so I donno why is it still in the air? second, I mean C'MON! Michael Jackson was shaking his pelvis before I was born and girls were dieing and fainting and his concerts! second, Elton John is gay and he is a worldwide star, also he is a member in the House of Lords in UK (bite me now!), THIRD, I agree about Marylin Manson- look at him! child can pee his diaper 100 times if he sees Marylin for the first time! but still he is a worldknown star....so, I guess looks and moves is not the matter!
The real "burried dog" is with Tarkan's origins from muslim country, this is HUGE STEREOTYPE. "Thanks" to Osama, being a muslim gives you this "bad" mark, which is rediculos. I hope soon, when Obama or whoever becomes a president those stereotypes will be gone and he will finish this nonsense war in Iraq and all religions will be freinds again

true! stereotype is one of the killing factors! Each nation, each culture and each religion has its own! RUSSIA means VODKA, alcoholics, men like "bears", women- "Natasha" prostitutes ; Eastern countries- terrorists, turbs, camels, harems etc...USA- stupid, Bush, sex, drugs and rock & roll !
