| Awww.. How sweet. I love to see him with his mother. It is so cute, she is short and he has to bend down to give her a hug. Warms my heart. Thanks Stef- | |

| Thanks for these pics Evkedisi!
Ah, his mother...I always think of how she had this accident while she was pregnant with him, and how she was in a coma for two weeks. She got out practically unharmed, besides a metal plate in her head...and that the doctors told her the baby would be severely handicapped because of the accident. The doctors thought the shock and loss of oxygen would have damaged the baby's brain. They advised her to have an abortion...we're talking Germany, 1972... She and her husband had one son already, and she had three older children from an earlier marriage...so wouldnt it make sense to give up this child if it really was to be handicapped? She and her husband Ali, talked through it...They must have been in doubt what to do...with such a doctors advice...And Ali then had a dream, in which he was told the baby was okay, and was to be born "with a star above his head" and that the child had a great future ahead of him... and they decided to go against the advice of the doctors, and keep the baby and take the risk of having a severely handicapped baby... But their baby came out perfectly alright, as we all know....and had a great future indeed...
Last year, at children's day (in April), when Tarkan sang for children on national TV, he also greeted his mother who was in the crowd...and he said, thank you mother for letting me be born!...This is a very common thing to say in Turkey, but given the whole background of his birth, it just gave me goosebumps....because, she actually decided that he should be born, against all the odds....she could have decided otherwise...and there he was, with his big career going on, on stage, thanking her that he was alive...
offfff!!!
love, Inge | |

| I dont know the details but it was a car accident and the car turned a few times and went upside down...thats all I know...it must have been early in the pregnancy otherwise they would not suggest to have an abortion.... Maybe the doctors didnt just fear for the baby, but also for the mothers health...I guess its quite something to go tthrough pregnancy when you are recovering from a heavy car crash....Fortunately they both came out well. Of course if they hadn't, we would never even have heard of this story! It would just have been a tragic case of a mother giving birth to a baby with a handicap...something which happens every day....We wouldnt know about them at all. I guess Tarkans mom and he were just lucky. And other people are not, they do get out of accidents severely damaged. It's those people who are in need of a blessing, if you ask me... | |

If not in relationships, at least in his videos!! well, I guess my height is "normal"in Turkey and many other parts of the world, but in Holland where I live, most women are much taller than me and so I am considered small!! But I like it, it's okay, only sometimes in supermarkets I cant reach the top shelve. My height is 1.60 metres. This is...between 5 feet 2 inches and 5 feet 3 inches. Tarkans height is 1.73 metres, which is 5 feet 8 inches. I dont know why people keep calling him short., He seems average to me, especially in Turkey. love, Inge | |

Join the club honey! I'm 1.63 so...I get that to a lot of times I do feel small comparing to most women in Romānia, but...c'est la vie!!! I can't do anything about it. __________________________________________________________________ Anyway, let's get back to our sheep... Here's another lovely picture of Tarkan and his mommy |
